Controversies – सीरीयल से जुड़े विवाद

→ इस सीरीयल के प्रसारित होने के पहले दिन ही नेपाल के केबल आपरेट्रस ने इस सीरीयल को बैन कर दिया था, क्योंकि सीरीयल में भगवान बुद्ध का जन्म स्थान भारत को दिखाया गया था, जबकि असल में उनका जन्म नेपाल में हुआ था। बाद में सीरीयल में भगवान बुद्ध का जन्म नेपाल को बताने के बाद नेपाल में इस सीरीयल पर बैन हटाया गया।

→ Buddha Serial में भगवान बुद्ध की मां को बांझ दिखाया जाता है, और फिर यह दिखाया जाता है कि यज्ञ करने के बाद उन्हें पुत्र (भगवान बुद्ध) की प्राप्ती हुई। पर बौद्ध साहित्य में कहीं भी उनकी माता के बांझ होने का जिक्र नही है।

→ सीरीयल में राजा शुधोधन (बुद्ध के पिता) के भाई का नाम दुरनोधन दिखाया जाता है, जबकि उनका बौद्ध साहित्य में कहीं जिक्र ही नही किया गया है।

      Unfortunately all over India this all episodes of this great serial has been removed secretly… but I am thankful to one of the great person who kept it on internet by downloading it from Netflix usa…i can share the link where we can downloaded one by by one or at a time .

      HI Anmol, zee TV has removed it all over internet but netflix usa or other countries are still showing it ..that is last thing left for us. I got it from link.

    Now Zee5 removed the Buddha series or it is down. I was able to watch it with ENG subtitles until episode 37 and then suddenly all episodes are not available anymore.

        I’ve contacted Zee5 about this issue. Here’s what they said:

        “Hi,
        We appreciate you enjoyed Buddha on Zee5.
        Due to some unavoidable circumstances, we don’t have the rest of the episodes on our platform. Since you enjoyed that show we recommend you watching other similar shows like Mahabharat on our platform, you will absolutely love watching it.”

        It feels like I searched the whole internet for this series now but the only thing I was able to find where the English subtitles. Do you know where we could get the original Hindi version? (I’d be happy to share the subtitles as well)

            I am undergoing a major trauma in my life right now. I am a buddhist living in sri lanka and i desperately need to watch this show with English subtitles.

    Zee5.com cannot be accessed in USA. Plus, the YouTube channel is also not accessible. Zee5 app cannot be. Downloaded to iPhones. And it is not on Netflix. Why is such a good series not accessible to the public? Unlike all the entertainment, The Buddha is such an inspiring TV series with amazing narration/lessons/story. Please help.

        I too want to watch or purchase all episodes with English subtiitles. the DVD pack version is poor and spotty at best, some DVD’s work, some don;t and its very expensive. I would love to purchase a soft version or and down load for ever.

    We have finished 50 episodes and was suppose to watch the final 5 episodes on August 15, but Netflix removed at before we could watch it.

    Is there anyway we can watch with english subtitles? I am willing to pay. the only option available is to buy the DVD set which cost 170$
