About Mahadji Shinde – महादजी शिंदे के बारे में
Mahadji Shinde was a Maratha King who ruled the Gwalior state presently in Madhya Pradesh state of India. He was the 5th and the youngest son of Ranaji Rao Shinde.
He was born in 1730. In 1761, when almost all the prominent Maratha leaders were dead in the 3rd battle of Panipat, however, Mahadji Shinde managed to escape.
He struggled for the throne from 1761 to 1768 and succeeded. He won many battles, and also defeated the Britishes.
He died on 12 February 1794.
